Christopher Wang, Violin
王熠堯,小提琴

Early Years

I began playing the violin at the age of four and a half in Taipei, Taiwan, at the recommendation of my dear late aunt, Ms. Dorothy Wang, who was a multi-talented champion of the literary, musical and performing arts.

Miss Dorothy Wang was a magnificent lady. By example, she introduced and encouraged me to enjoy myself and develop multi-dimensionally in fields such as music, writing, linguistics, painting and sports, as a profession and/or a hobby. She also gave me insight on how to be a life-long friend to others.

Even though relocating to New York City for my music was difficult at first, I was able to eventually adjust to the new tempi and excitement of my life. While I had limited resources as a youngster, I did enjoy rubbing elbows, sharing my music and serve as a source of inspiration with prominents of the Big Apple.

Through my contacts in New York City, I was able to share and collaborate with my audience and mentors in Europe.
